I heard that the referee can give red card even for goal-keepers in football.

Is there any goal-keepers who received red card in FIFA world cup matches?

If yes, please provide the details.

This year? Or ever? It's uncommon, but happens regularly enough that giving an exhaustive list is likely impractical. – wax eagle Jun 19 '14 at 13:17
@waxeagle, removed yellow cards. Isn't it possible to list out the goal keepers who received red cards in the whole FIFA world cups? – Sports Fan Jun 19 '14 at 13:36
that would be a much smaller list I'm sure. The total number of reds is <200 for the whole history of the tournament – wax eagle Jun 19 '14 at 13:40
One that perhaps should have been is Harald Schumacher, now this was a proper foul... – Ted Jun 20 '14 at 9:01

The first Keeper sent off in a WC match was the Italian keeper Gianluca Pagliuca. He was sent off for handling a ball outside the box. The card was a straight red.

The other is Itumeleng Khune, a South African keeper who was sent off during a match with Uruguay during the 2010 cup. He was sent off for tripping a striker in the box.
