comment Hand supports for swimming
Glad to give some ideas - hope you can solve your problem. And for future reference, don't wait too long before seeing a sports doctor if you have reoccurring pain during training. You just reminded me to see a sports doctor myself, for some strange pain that I've been having for a couple months in the side of my head when I stretch my right shoulder. Follow what you preach... eh? : )

comment What to do if the arrows are too far to the left?
Normally the line from your eye through your sight to your target should be almost parallel to your arrow. If you have to max-out the length of your sight-pin, then it seems that your arrow is at a very large angle. Maybe your hand is in front of your face instead of under your chin, or when you release the string you are moving the arrow away from your chin. It could also be the arrow-rest on the bow, that is pushing the arrow to the left. Post a picture/video of you shooting and I can say more. Views from your chest-side and the drawing-arm side would be helpful.

Right-hand (your holding or drawing hand?). Left of the sight (the arrow tip during your draw, or where it lands once you've shot?).

comment What happen when two players touch the finish rope at same time in running?
Big competitions usually have cameras at the finish line to determine who was first. But I don't know what happens if that doesn't eve help - I'm quite sure though, that the athletes don't have to compete again. They will be placed according to other factors.

comment How do water-temperature, swim distance and skill influence the choice of using a wet suit for the swim-stretch in a triathlon competition?
The water temperature + time spent in water really makes the difference I guess. At my last triathlon there were some people who didn' wear neoprene - I really felt sorry for them, bcs, 17,5°C water is cold...

comment What does it mean by “Hitting the wall” in marathon run?
Add to that diligent training, and you've got your perfect answer of how to avoid "the wall". When you train, you don't only build muscle, but also train the body in energy transfer.

As for the shoulders - he should try to make his shoulder-blades "touch" behind his back.

Sure a compound will do. Get practice arrows which don't have fancy points. If he doesn't have anyone to teach him the correct form. Tell him that he should try to stand straight (he should NOT push his neck out infront, and his shoulders shouldn't be hunched up - he needs to relax in his full-draw position in order to aim properly). He should breathe calmly. The string should then slightly touch his lips, and when he lets go, he should just relax his fingers. If he turns his hand away or does some movement with his body, his aim will suffer and get an unnatural direction. Aim is everything!:)
