Would anyone be able to identify the autograph on the left in the picture? Here is the updated, original post.

Timeframe is 2005 to 2010. Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Phillies or Marlins are possible teams the player belonged to.

A clearer picture might help. Especially of what looks like a number in the corner. Also any background information like time frame, team, etc. – GB11 Mar 2 '17 at 19:12

Quite obviously, this was signed by Alf, TV alien of the 1980's. – Jason P Sallinger Mar 6 '17 at 16:55

This appears to be a Derrek Lee autograph. Although he played for the Cubs from 2004-2010, he did play for the Marlins from 1998-2003 (to address the possible teams and timeframe presented in your question).

His later autographs resemble the one you present in your question...his earlier autographs do not have as much of a resemblance (see Exhibit D).

Exhibit A (note the 25 with the autograph):

Exhibit C (this is probably closest to the signature provided in the question):

  • Wow, how in the world you made that out or recognized that!?! Very much matches this link – JeopardyTempest Mar 6 '17 at 19:48

@JeopardyTempest Sheer luck. I started with players who wore 25 (my guess of the number signed in the OP's post) from 2005 to 2010. Then, I came upon his name in 2009 and saw that he once played for the Marlins. Out of curiosity, I checked his autographs, and voila. – user527 Mar 6 '17 at 22:12

I don't know how you even got the 25! Great stuff. – JeopardyTempest Mar 7 '17 at 0:08
